You know when we first go for a walk. I’m always amped up. You know that I am checking out all the usual locations for the bunny rabbits.

You have to let me get it out of my system. You can wave that tug toy in front of my face as much as you like but it’s not gonna help.

You can do a really good impression of a windshield wiper with that tug toy but you know I can do a really good impression of a windshield wiper with my head going in the opposite direction so it’s never in my way when I’m looking for rabbits! By the way don’t you think it’s cool that we can totally get the timing so that we are exactly opposite each other when we do this? 

It’s the same when you try to lure me with a treat. Your hand just gets in the way and I have to move my head.

Let’s just agree between you and I that’s the first few minutes of every walk is a gong show. You know that I’m better behaved later on in the walk and it’s much more relaxing so let’s just agree to write off that first few minutes and then everything will be OK.
